Like the Daruma that always returns upright no matter how many times it is tipped, Erect stands tall after being rolled, symbolizing persistence and strength.

The Japanese Daruma doll is a cultural icon of perseverance, derived from the phrase Nanakorobi yaoki “fall down seven times, get up eight.” This spirit of resilience became the foundation for Erect. The design translates the Daruma’s self-righting form into a modern, functional object — playful yet meaningful.
